the arseholes are out there

i've been screwed. well and truely screwed. by some devious and conniving chinese pirate. and not of the comedy eye-patch and stuffed parrot variety. of the fraudulently using some poor man from somerset's ebay account to list crappy fake dvd box sets, so that unsuspecting dvd completists like my good self, can purchase them only to find that when they arrive from china (rather than somerset) they look nothing like the item listed in the auction and half of the bloody discs don't play. Good old ebay withdrew the item from auction the day it arrives, so i can't even lodge a dispute with them because as far as they're concerned it doesn't exist any more. so paypal is my only hope, and i'm not holding my breath. apparently within 30 days they will resolve my dispute. and if the other person doesn't respond, they will resolve it in my favour. but that doesn't neccessarily mean that I'll get all of my money back. which is poo. for a tenner or so more i could have bought the legit thing on ebay and been happily watching to my hearts content. bastards. 

i'm still just a cliché

because everyone else does it, i'm gonna do a list of albums from last year that i liked. i'm not gonna put them in an order cos that's too hard.

nothing too unexpected on there i suppose. if i could only choose one it'd have to be the national. björk was a bit of a disappointment, hopefully she'll make up for it live.

2008 is looking promising with a fantastic new album from british sea power due out in a couple of weeks, which is there's any justice in the work will make them huge. rem have a chance to redeem themselves after around the sun in april so fingers crossed for that. new final fantasy coming in the summer too and probably loads of other i can't think of right now.
