you might have noticed if you've been paying attention that i've got a new job. there are lots of reasons why this is a good thing. one is having the radio on all days. it's meant i get to hear a lot of new exciting music, like the fantastic new futureheads song. but, so they say, every silver lining has a cloud and the one thing about radio 1 is that they like the news. for the end of last week they were busy panicing everybody in scotland by telling them not to panic-buy petrol. what seemed like every half hour if not more often. they had someone driving around seeing if they could get petrol anywhere - presumably wasting a large amount of petrol i the process. the real brucie bonus was the interviews they were doing with the poor panic stricken scotsfolk about how they're gonna cope. at least i presume that's what they were talking about because frankly they might have well have asked someone from outer mongolia for all i could understand of it. hmmm... bit daily mail? sorry. someone was telling me how much they love the scottish accent, and i have to admit that with the right one, i'd have a certain weakness myself. but there were straight out of braveheart or something.
